LEAP organized the LP121 – Build a Better Product program at Alpha College of Engineering, Thirumazhisai, Chennai. Conducted over two days, the program aimed to equip faculty members with hands-on experience in product innovation.

On Day 1, participants were introduced to embedded systems and microcontroller modules, gaining practical experience through LED blinking, sensor integration, and wireless control using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the ESP32 platform. Faculty teams also developed automation systems to address real-world problems.

Day 2 focused on reverse engineering, where teams dismantled household appliances such as iron boxes, table fans, and mixer grinders. The session emphasized visual thinking, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BoM). By the end of the day, teams proposed and implemented feature enhancements for their products. The program concluded with team presentations, followed by evaluation, feedback, and recommendations from the LEAP team.
